WHO WE ARE

Led by lived experience

My Outlet was founded by Audrie Chad, who built the organization into a full ecosystem spanning programming, training, mentorship, and research — because neurodiversity doesn't stop at any one age or setting. Audrie is a CFA charter holder, a board member of the Institute of Neurodiversity Canada, and a sought-after voice on inclusion in the workplace and classroom.

More than programming — a mission. Every service, from a Sunday kids' session to a corporate workshop, is built on one belief: everyone deserves to be heard, and everyone deserves to feel fulfilled.

What our community is saying

My son absolutely loves the My Outlet kids program. He feels seen, heard, and understood by the facilitators who are authentic, compassionate, and down-to-earth. The program has taught him valuable tools and strategies to help him manage his impulsivity. We've watched his confidence in his abilities grow. For example, on his own initiative, he was inspired to open his My Outlet journal during a stressful moment at home, and used it to express his emotions. This, in turn, provided him with the opportunity to take the time he needed to reflect on his big feelings, and respond with greater ease and effectiveness. Thank you, My Outlet for creating this magical space for my son!

I enrolled my child in My Outlet classes, and it has been an amazing experience. The class takes a personalized approach, tailoring lessons to the needs of the cohort, while supporting each child's individual needs. Facilitators are well-trained to handle specific challenges and use a mix of visual aids, interactive activities, and mindfulness exercises to keep kids engaged.

What stands out is the focus on building confidence, teaching kids strategies to manage stressful situations and positive reinforcement to manage impulses and emotions. The hands-on curriculum includes movement-based activities, perfect for active kids who struggle with sitting still. With small class sizes, each child gets more individual attention, helping them stay on track.

Audrie's involvement is great, with regular updates to the program based on new and innovative ideas. This class isn’t just about ADHD. It’s about building confidence, emotional skills, and self-control. My child is more focused, confident, and excited to try his new strategies out. I highly recommend this program for all kids, and especially those with ADHD.

My son absolutely loves the My Outlet program. Every week he is exposed to a new trade or skill in one of the blocks. His favourite outlets so far are cooking, planting and learning to mix music on a DJ mixer. Through these experiences he is strengthening his social skills and building emotional regulation capabilities while making new friendships. I would definitely recommend My Outlet for other kids and families!
